The UEC offers free workshops on the administrative appeals process for any group interested in learning how to communicate with the Forest Service. We also make workshop materials available to anyone, realizing that some people won't be able to attend a workshop in person.

We have assembled some useful links used in our work to protect our National Forests and native wildlife species in Utah, from tools for writing appeals to fellow organizations and businesses.

 FOIA Information

To be effective in our forest watch efforts and to inform the general public of Forest Service activities, the UEC has submitted Freedom of Information Act request for specific information over the years. This is public information, paid for by taxpayer dollars, that we request from the Forest Service in order to get a better idea of what they have been doing in terms of monitoring (wildlife, water, soils, etc.), enforcement (e.g. ATVs), and other activities.
